According to the today’s national curriculum, one of the teaching and learning materials is conducting some projects that consists of some topics. The projects are aimed to strengthen the Profil of Pancasila’s students. In short, it is called P5. SMP Strada Budi Luhur also implements the new curriculum for the teaching and learning activities for grade 7. Some months ago, we had conducted the two projects, they are entrepreneurship and the last long life style that concerned with garbage.
The third project or the last project of this year is The Global Diversity, It concerned with the diversity of a lot culture that belongs to many areas, tribes and provinces in Indonesia. The purpose of choosing this topic as the project is to make the students to realize about the traditional culture in Indonesia and they will have responsibility to keep their existence. The project consists of some actvities.
- The first one was regional dance. It was done in a group that was the representative of each class. Each group performed a special dance from certain area in Indonesia.
- The second activity was singing of regional songs of Indonesia that was performed in a group.
- The third one is flash mop. The dance is accompanied by the encouragement of Indonesia’s song that is Pelajar Pancasi. The students danced really well and full of spirit.
- The fourth is Fashion show. The fashion that was performed was really about fashion that was closed to Indonesia’s culture. The fashion that is from Batak, NTT, Java, Sulawesi and Irian. And to enlarge the students’ kwoledge, it was shown some fashion from Europe.
- The last one is colossal drama that performed a folktale from West Java namely Sangkuriang. The students could act really well and develop the story creatively.
All the activities was performed on a stage at Blu Plaza in Bekasi on Friday the 4th of May. The attraction was rea;;y great. The students prepared all the performances independently and creatively. That event was attended by the officials of Perkumpulan Strada, the official of education authority, the headmaster and all the teachers of SMP Strada Budi Luhur, the students’ parents and the visitors of the plaza. We really satisfied to the students’ effort. Hopefully, we will conduct some events much better.
